Toxic Lesbian emerges in 2005 as an artistic and lesbian activist. The artistic model of Toxic Lesbian goes from pure artistic language to virtual and live action, creation and investigation processes. An essential concept of their proposals is to generate works that do not have a commercial format but ephemerals and easy to disseminate ones. Performances and video art productions are the link with the visual language that will generate documentaries about collective social interaction and other testimonies related to the project.

MIMODEK is an interactive-evolving and changing 'living' system, based on the principles of the natural world that 'grows' from the fabric of the city.
As all living systems in nature, MIMODEK reflects its own environment.
It is a site-specific work, formed by unique, location – related data sources and by the behaviour of the visitors. Every installation will evolve into unique an 'organism', reflecting its location.
MIMODEK does not visually mimic nature, but it introduces the city to some of the natural elements that are lacking.

LummoBlocks is inspired by the legendary ‘Tetris’ game and designed to create social interaction between people in the public space where a digital facade is used to visualise the game. The mechanics of the game are similar as in ‘Tetris.’ Players must try to solve the largest possible number of lines in order to prevent the stacked pieces from reaching the top of the screen. The aim is to create a playful interactive space located experience.

Colour Occurrence

Colour Occurrence is a text work, linking colour as interpreted in spoken language with Twitter. The project randomly selects a colour from our database, that’s constructed out of colours named by our online contributors worldwide. They associate a word or phrase with a colour of their choice. The database becomes a personal, current and multilingual “spoken language” colour library. When a colour is selected, a Twitter search is performed for tweets containing this colour’s name and live tweets are displayed, generating a cross among international cyber communities.

City Sleep Light

City Sleep Light makes a radical move by transforming a whole building into the sleep light of the city, akin to the sleep light of a computer. All the lights are pulsing together in an organic rhythm, turning the building into a living organism.

Computed from the current global socio-economic activity of the city, the rhythm of pulsation differs each night and changes from one place to another.

For the festival, City Sleep Light will be visible in each city, literally connecting inhabitants through multiple adaptations of the project on the facades.
